Hello and Welcome to the Kings Lynn Cycling Club website.


Tour of Britain Comes to Norfolk.
Tour of Britain – Kings Lynn to Great Yarmouth – Stage 6.
Starting at the Tuesday market on Thursday 16th September.


Would those club members, willing and available, to demonstrate turbo riding as a static exhibition, and other aspects of club cycling, at the start venue on Tuesday Market place, please contact Brian Williamson.  Names are required for parking permits etc.

The Club

Our membership consists of a vast array of people mainly living in and around West Norfolk. We are now looking for new members to share this passion of ours.

We hold regular meetings throughout the winter months, every Wednesday at the local Lynnsport Sports Centre starting at 8:00 pm. If you are interested in joining us you will be made most welcome and are suggested to contact either the president, Chairman, or one of the Events Secretaries.

Being one of the oldest clubs in the area, formed in 1931 from the amalgamation of several cycle clubs dating into the 19th century. We are interesting in all branches of cycling, whether your interest is sporting or recreational.

For those interested in the sport we are affiliated to the British Cycling Federation (BCF) & Cycling Time Trials (CTT), but for those of you with a more relaxed approach we have members related to the Cyclists Touring Club (CTC).

Time Trials – The ‘Grass Roots’ of the sport, sees riders race against the clock from ten miles up to 100 miles, 12 hour and 24 hour events.  Various events are very well organised from March until early October.  The club promotes its own evening series from April until end August See Events section

Road Racing –open road races are held throughout East Anglia during the season which are accessible upon application for a BCF race licence.

Touring – Cycle Touring is a great way to spend a day/weekend out or even making a holiday of it.

Hill Climbs – An autumn activity, the club has its own championship and there are several open events locally

*** New members may not be able to obtain the current CTT Handbook, as these need to be ordered, in November of the previous Year, for the oncoming season. Please check with Brian Williamson for availability.
**** Cost for C.T.T Handbook may be subject to an additional charge for P&P, please check with Brian Williamson.

Saturday morning club rides:- These depart 10am Lynnsport for approximately 2-3 hours at a gentle pace, starting on 19th September.


Sunday morning club rides:- These training rides leave from Grimston every Sunday throughout winter starting at 0830 from the clock. Routes vary and distance dependent on weather. Mudguards are an absolute must. The more riders there are and the easier it becomes to split groups.
